Daily writing prompt
Write about your first computer.

I really cannot recall my first.

Sort of a blur to be honest. Went from a Smith Corona to type papers in college, to paying tolls with spare change and stopping at pay phones to call customers in my first sales gig.

Then “whammo!!!” You can park your fully, electronically staffed office in your Levi’s. Left rear pocket.

The way I look at it, that and especially my Chrome Book are just tools.

Pliers. Ways to transmit thoughts, ideas and experiences. A highly efficient mode of sharing ideas, feelings and emotions. Everywhere. All over. Perhaps even at times with out realizing it or needing to do so.

But for those electronic tools to work properly, they need to be totally in sync with these three essential aspects of the operator.

Mind. Heart. Soul.

Any wavering in that syncopation results in a cacophony of nonsense. Worse yet, hurt, anger, resentment, isolation.

The two best tools for opening heart mind and soul is pen on paper or talking face to face. If what went on the paper doesn’t seem right, crumple it up for recycling or fold it up and send it to a drawer. Should the talking sound like gibberish, put on your mute and listen. Listen some more. Think. Then reengage your speaker.

This HP helps me connect with you daily and on this weeks late daily prompt.

While it may not be my first.

That makes it my favorite.
