Akin to what I shared yesterday, I heard this at the tail end of the gospel this morning:

“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

To be honest, I now think that some of what drew me to things, was an attraction of self exaltation. I think that comes along with the overfunctioning badge. A way to enhance value in my own estimation.

Now I am grateful to say I have been humbled in a good and healthy way. I do not need to be that.

I just need to be.

And in that, I can be exalted.
